Pregnancy & Postpartum
“I don’t feel connected to my baby. Or my partner, or even myself.”
“I can’t stop thinking about something happening to my baby. It’s keeping me from doing activities. Even walking down the stairs feels so scary”
“Will I ever feel like myself again?”
“I’m happy as a new parent, but I am emotional thinking about my birth experience.”
Pregnancy and postpartum can be emotional, beautiful, and challenging. As a mother myself and having worked with families for over seven years, I understand the complexity of the emotional experience of parenting and postpartum. As child-bearing individuals, our bodies are impacted not only physically, but emotionally through hormone changes AND having gone through a whole huge life experience!
It can feel incredible knowing our body is able to create life - and on the flip side, let’s be honest, there’s a lot to process. Maybe physical healing has been difficult, maybe your emotions took a dive, or possibly you aren’t bonding with baby the way you expected. You may be going back to work full time or staying home - each with its own challenges and emotions. This experience can feel incredibly isolating. But, being able to connect, process, and develop tools for yourself is a beautiful gift for -you-. You’re doing so much right now and you deserve a judgment free space to process and heal through your experience.
